Kansas All-Star Scholars Fund

The Kansas All-Star Scholars Fund is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization created for the purpose of supporting education and students in Sumner County and Mulvane, KS. 100% of its funding is provided by Kansas Star Casino, which has committed $1.5 million annually to support the objectives of the Kansas All-Star Scholars Fund. The Kansas Star Casino has donated over $7.5 million to date.

Program Summary and Eligibility:

Teachers

Full-time K-12 classroom teachers employed in the Mulvane and Sumner County school districts may Apply Now for a $500 teacher reward card to help purchase supplies for their classrooms. Teachers must complete the online application by June 13, 2023, to be eligible for a grant for the 2023-24 school year.

Teachers who are unsure if they qualify are still encouraged to apply. No applications will be accepted after June 13, 2023. The Board of Directors reserves the right to consider applications that do not meet the eligibility requirements on a case-by-case basis. Emails will be sent to approved applicants in June regarding card distribution dates.

K-12 Students

All students in grades K-12 enrolled in Sumner County and Mulvane school districts will benefit from a $100 educational reward card to be used for school enrollment fees and/or at area merchants to purchase back-to-school supplies, school clothes, and shoes. Reward cards are distributed in July/August each year by your respective school. **Newly enrolled students will need to complete the first two weeks of classes before receiving the reward card**.

Class of 2023 Scholarships

Congratulations to the graduating seniors who were awarded the Kansas All-Star Scholars Fund $1,000 scholarship this year! The application process for the Class of 2023 is now closed. The deadline for scholarship recipients to submit their acceptance letter and college class schedule is September 1, 2023. These documents may either be mailed to Sonya Jackson at PO Box 128, Mulvane, KS 67110 or Emailed.

Kansas All Star Scholars Fund receives 100% of its funding from the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Kansas. The Fund seeks to support local students and the local economy. We believe this program will attract new families to Sumner County and promote education, while at the same time supporting local merchants and spur economic development, benefitting all of Sumner County.

An autonomous, non-profit Board of Directors oversees the administration of the program. This blue-ribbon panel is comprised of local business leaders, education leaders and recognized leaders from the community.
