Kansas All-Star Scholars Fund

The Kansas All-Star Scholars Fund is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of supporting education and students in Sumner County and Mulvane, KS. 100% of its funding is provided by Kansas Star Casino, who has committed $1.5 million annually to support the objectives of the Kansas All-Star Scholars Fund.

Teachers - Full-time classroom teachers employed in a Sumner County school district or the Mulvane school district may apply now for a $500 grant from Kansas Star All-Star Scholars Fund, to help purchase supplies for their classrooms. Teachers must complete the online application by June 15, 2015 to be eligible for a grant for the 2015-16 school year.

Teachers who are unsure if they qualify are still encouraged to apply. No applications will be accepted after June 15, 2015. The Board of Directors reserves the right to consider applications that do not meet the eligibility requirements on a case-by-case basis. $500 reward cards will be distributed in July so that teachers may purchase items needed for direct student educational benefit in advance of the Fall 2015 school year.

K-12 Students - All students in grades K-12, enrolled in Sumner County and Mulvane school districts, will receive a $100 educational reward card to be used for school enrollment fees and/or at area merchants to purchase back-to-school supplies, school clothes and shoes. $100 educational reward cards are distributed in each school district during enrollment.

Class of 2015 Scholarships - Congratulations to the 374 graduating seniors who were awarded the $1,000 scholarship! The application process for the class of 2015 is now closed. The deadline for scholarship recipients to submit their supporting documents is September 1, 2015. These documents can be mailed to Sonya Jackson at PO Box 128, Mulvane, KS 67110 or Emailed. Kansas All-Star Scholars Fund receives 100% of its funding from the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Kansas. The Fund seeks to support local students and the local economy. We believe this program will attract new families to Sumner County and promote education, while at the same time supporting local merchants and spur economic development, benefiting all of Sumner County.

An autonomous, non-profit Board of Directors oversees the administration of the program. This blue-ribbon panel is compromised of local business leaders, education leaders and recognized leaders from the state's higher education community.
